Chevron is the second-largest integrated energy company in the United States. Its award-winning ExtraMile convenience stores are focused on providing an exceptional convenience store experience to customers, selling high-quality products in an appealing environment with great service.
What we did:
When Chevron decided to develop their ExtraMile franchise convenience store concept, they asked re:group to help define the structure of the advertising program, develop a brand position for the ExtraMile brand, and develop the franchise marketing materials to sell-in the program to their existing dealer network.
In the first 18 months, 195 franchises were sold and 360 ExtraMile stores were opened. Convenience Store Decisions named Chevron’s ExtraMile the 2008 “Chain of the Year.” Convenience Store and Petroleum ranked them #1 in first year as a franchise. Mystery shoppers ranked ExtraMile #1 in 2007 and 2008.
