The Media Assistant will work closely with the media team on tasks such as obtaining and analyzing media (both digital and traditional), using media software to place orders and track performance, executing various administrative duties, and developing and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets. The Media Assistant will also serve as a liaison between the Media and Finance Departments for media invoicing and reporting tasks.

Accountabilities:

  • Accurate & timely paid media invoice collection and payment process
  • Media trafficking
  • Strong relationships with media vendors
  • Support arm for all media department members

TASKS:

  • Support media team with development, execution and monitoring of media plans
  • Run competitive analysis reports in Kantar
  • Collect media rate data
  • Construct basic media POVs
  • Enter media schedules and invoices into Freewheel/STRATA
  • Maintain outstanding media invoice report, contacting vendors as needed to secure missing invoices
  • Provide VP Finance with hard copies of all media invoices
  • Assist SEM & Analytics Manager with reconciliation of monthly Media Department credit card statement
  • Assist Media Director, Associate Media Director and Senior Media Partner with actualization of flow charts
  • Assist Media Director, Associate Media Director and Senior Media Partner with creation of media estimates for both Finance & Account

PERFORMANCE METRICS:

  • Collect all media invoices within 30 days of run date
  • Work with media team to have all media invoices input, cleared and billed to Workamajig within 10 business days of receipt
  • Work with SEM & Analytics Manager to submit reconciled monthly Media Department credit card statement to Finance Department within five business days of receipt
  • Client and vendor satisfaction

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or Business

Experience

  • 2 to 3 years of media experience are preferred, but not required
  • Basic understanding of traditional media sources (TV, radio, print, OOH)
  • Familiar with programmatic display
  • Familiar with search engine marketing (Google AdWords, Bing Ads)
  • Knowledge of social media best practices and trends (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Experience with Workamajig desired but not required
  • Experience with FreeWheel/STRATA desired but not required
