AIGA recognizes re:group design for March of Dimes

The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) received 4,200 entries for the “365 AIGA Annual Design Competition 25.” Only 92 entries were recognized for work produced in 2003. re:group’s work entitled “Help!”, created for the March of Dimes of Southeastern Michigan was selected and will be exhibited at the AIGA National Design Center in New York during the month of December. Additionally, the work will be included in the National Design Archive.

The 3-dimensional work designed to increase contributions in support of preventing prematurity, used handmade T-shirts, from Saks Fifth Ave., designed for premature infants. The cost of the T-shirts was underwritten by the University of Michigan Health System, in support of the campaign. The word “HELP!” was silkscreened on the shirts and a tag was attached communicating the call to action. Over 1,000 of the pieces were posted to build awareness.
