It’s no secret that the re:group team has a very large appetite. Conveniently, the majority of our staff outings and Happy Committee events often have food as the focal point.
In 2012 and 2013, we took on the monumental task of trying to find which establishment had the best burger in town (Jolly Pumpkin at an astonishing 8.28/10!). Once we ran out of burger joints, admittedly, we were sad. We had to identify a new cuisine to investigate to fill the longing hole in our empty stomachs. So, the members of the Happy Committee put their heads together and came up with something that, arguably, no one could hate: TACOS!
Ann Arbor is home to a wide variety of cuisine from all over the world, including quite a few Mexican restaurants. It can be difficult to have an apples-to-apples comparison for tacos; there are so many varieties and fillings. To try and level the playing field, we came up with a four-part rating system. 1 is the lowest and 10 the best in four crucial areas: taste, presentation, experience and authenticity.
And now—drum roll, please—the winners (in our admittedly non-scientific taste test):
If you haven’t already, we’ve got a team full of taco enthusiasts that recommend heading over to Tmaz to see what all the rage is about!
Advertising can be a stress-filled occupation at times, so we’re happy we have the Happy Committee to keep our spirits up and help us get to know each other a little better. The result? It keeps morale high, making us a more productive group.
Next up, re:group takes a tour of the cuisine from our very own home: Liberty Street!
